Yes its FINALLY here and the weekend that is going to wipe all our collective blues away is only a few days away! We’ve fought hard and to make sure its paid off we have a sweet line up in our newly acquired venue ANDREWS LANE THEATRE!(here on referred to as ALT cause it looks way cooler and doesnt take as long to type)

That’s right folks this SATURDAY night we have one of the best venues in Ireland paired up with one of the best dj’s in the WORLD! (he’s so hot right now) DUSTY KID, our little Italian friend fresh from being one of the best acts at I Love Techno, has agreed to come over and cheer everybody back up and get us into gear for a shuper shweet 2009!!

The venue, ALT(actually maybe Andrews Lane Theatre is worth the effort), if you’ve not been there before is going to BLOW your mind! It is situated just off Dame street and is a converted Warehouse! At the lights at Central Bank heading to Trinity, you simply turn right and take your second right. Literally 30 yards from all the hub bub that is Dublin’s Dame street and nicely out of the way, it is without doubt the best discovery you will make in your clubbing career this year!

Now on the night we have opening up a guest dj from Play fm MARK MURPHY. Mark has played for us before and has always caused a stir on the dance floor with his Dirty Electro/Techno ways. If ever a reason to get to a venue early its Mark.

Following up is our main support. Hospital and Weird Scientist residents, 2008 was a busy year for DAN MAC & ROB MURPHY and ’09 is shaping up to be just as demanding. With supports for Phil Kieran, the Audio Bully’s and Thomas P. Heckmann the lads are in demand and with good reason!

Their deep and dark style of Techno mixed with their own tunes is an instant attraction to any crowd and it wont be long before they are in major demand all over the world!!

DUSTY KID [aka Paolo Alberto Lodde] was born in the first half of the
decade of the 80’s. As a new “enfant prodige” he immediately showed his
natural attitude for the variegated “music world”. At 10, after just one
year of private lessons of the basic notions of piano and violin, he was
admitted directly to the 6° year of the piano course in the conservatory of
his native city. Following the academic experience, his tasks moved
gradually from the austere classical world to the electronic system, free
from binds and traditional old-fashioned diktats. DUSTY KID started to
manipulate synthesizers, samplers and sequencers, and he realized that one
passion was growing and growing: the ardor for arranging and producing his
own compositions. He released his first single “I Found A Reason” at 19 on
the English label Lowered Recordings, and then he produced various singles
and remixes for Mutiny UK, Robbie Rivera and Trinity Hi-Fi. The first
official single under the aegis of the pseudonym DUSTY KID was “The Summer
of Love”.

But it’s during 2004 that Dusty Kid creates the project Duoteque with DJ

Andrea Ferlin and releases numerous EPs on Boxer Recordings and the tracks

were immediately included in the DJ sets of some of the most important
names, like Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Dominik
Eulberg, Sven Väth and Magda.

After the Duoteque experience Paolo decides to take his own way and to

release his own productions as DUSTY KID.

First release was the NEW ORDINAMENT EP on Motivo, followed by a second EP

in 2007. 2007 is also the year of various releases as Dusty Kid on labels
such as Kling Klong “Signal ’63 EP”, Systematic “Tsunamy”/”Milk”, Boxer
Recordings “Anatome EP Vol.1” and Southern Fried Records “The Cat” / “The
Kitten”, all hugely supported by DJS all over the world and still doing
damage on the dance floors and in the charts, as well as getting amazing
reviews from press.

But there’s still time to the end of the year…and while producing tracks

for his debut album and the various gigs around the world, Paolo has in the
mean time placed some more tracks due for release prior to the end of the
year as well as delivered some amazing remixes for the like of Josh Gabriel
and The Droyds [the latter for #1 dance Italian label Rebirth]…

DUSTY KID Live Set

You can’t restrict it in a genre… a sort of eclectic techno with
influences from the 80’s restrained with acid house and spiced with
minimal… in few words… a big beat soup!

So there it is folks!  Doors are a re-sess friendly €15 open at 11pm.

To ensure entry we have limited edition luminous plastic card tickets available for sale in City Discs in Temple Bar.

Seeya on the dance floor!!
